About Us
MouseMitt International was founded in 1991 by Tana Lee Tolson and Alfred C. Brinnand. Our purpose was to share with others an effective solution for wrist pain—a support glove you could actually wear while you work. MouseMitt earned the MIT Inventor of the Week Award for its ingenious and comfortable design.
The need to concentrate on our work rather than our wrists, spawned our little company. Armed with an old Singer sewing machine and an idea, we developed the MouseMitt, a comfortable and attractive fingerless glove with a built-in wrist support. In consultation with doctors and manual therapists, we perfected its design and successfully filed for a patent—U.S. Patent No. 5,404,591. Loving the "Made in America" notion, we use only local seamstresses to cut and sew our product.
Over twenty years later, MouseMitts are still manufactured in Santa Cruz County, California, USA.
